This toolkit is a collaboration between two organizations: play:groundNYC and Pop-Up Adventure Play. It provides you with the basics to run pop-up adventure playground for children in your neighbourhood. We’ll tell you a little about the ethos behind this type of work, provide a ‘road map’ for your play journey, and signpost other resources along the way. It is best suited for someone who advocates for children’s play, values children’s rights as much as their own, can creatively use resources to hand, and is based in the 5 boroughs of NYC.
"The pop up was great! The team was amazing! I was amazed at what the playworkers had created with the cardboard and how much fun the kids were having crawling through the cardboard tunnels. The whole area was turned into this colorful cardboard fantasy. Thank you so much!"
- Roslyn, Loisaida Festival, NYC
