Budget
How you plan to spend the seed funding and what costs you anticipate to get your project up and running?
We plan to use tried and tested facilitators that are already Garda and to spend the seed funding on a variety of events to ensure maximum accessibility across all ages and abilities:
• A Teddy Bear’s picnic- with a storyteller, books, food for the picnic, promotion with special invitations for the children etc.
• A magical day for families featuring- a Magician delivering a magic workshop and a facilitator delivering associated arts and crafts featuring a wand making and an associated literacy development workshop featuring magic themed fiction and non-fiction books and introducing the participants to age appropriate authors and artists.
• Theatre workshop-the children will be guided in creating, developing and staging a show
• Circus skills workshop-the children will learn circus skills and put on a show for their families in te library to demonstrate their new found talents
• Drumming workshop-the families will be introduced to drumming with the workshop culminating in a performance in the library

Expected Impact
To engage with children and young people in the local community to support social cohesion and to support and promote integration of Ukrainian families into their new local community.
How will the community benefit
The workshops will offer a local group of children and young people access to music, drama, art, crafts and support social integration. It is envisioned that following the initial schedule of workshops that we will continue to schedule further workshops and work with individual families and local community groups to extend the opportunities to more groups in the local community.
Do you have any measurable goals such as number of people who will participate?
We estimate that there will be 40 participants initially
Are you hoping to spread knowledge or increase interest in a specific subject?
We are hoping to improve the language skills of Ukrainian families and to support integration and understanding between the Ukrainian and local families.
Location
The location will be New Ross Library and all permissions and permits are in place.
