Time

You'll need to dedicate a school morning to the workshop and a couple of hours prep time beforehand.

Register for a workshop

Workshops are provided for kids in 3rd - 6th class; we'll find a time and date that works for you! Workshops are also available for parents.

School workshops cover the basics of internet safety including: social media, gaming, geo-location, personal data, password security, and internet safety. The content is engaging and contains videos, group work, detective games for younger children, and discussions on safety aspects on the most current social media apps.

School workshops are delivered in-person by our specially trained tutors over the course of a school morning. Currently, we have trainers active in the following areas:

  • Dublin
  • Wicklow
  • Kildare
  • Meath
  • Westmeath
  • Louth
  • Longford
  • Clare
  • Cavan
  • Limerick
  • Tipperary
  • Cork

Get the kids to fill-out a 5-min pre-workshop survey

In order to ensure that the workshop is tailored to the needs of your school, we ask you to get the kids in your class to complete a short questionnaire detailing what their technology experience has been e.g. how many students have their own devices, what platforms and apps they're already using and what their experience has been. Having this information will allow us to ensure the workshop is tailored and relevant to your school's needs.

See below for an example of some of the questions. This will be provided to your school as a private pre-coded survey specific for you that each child can fill in. The responses will then be used to design your workshop.

Delivery of workshop

e'll come and deliver the workshops in the schoolOnce we have all your survey responses, we'll design your workshop and we'll be ready to come to your school to host the workshop. The workshop usually takes place over the course of a school morning, with 30 minutes spent with 3rd class and 55 minutes with 4th to 6th class.

Give kids further information to take home

Parental engagement and understanding at home is critical to ensure online safety. We've built some resources to help!

Get your report

The final step of the programme is that you'll get a full report for your school outlining trends, usage and outcomes of the survey data that will help you devise a school plan and assess issues on an ongoing basis.
