Welcome to Sustainability for Children! We believe that reconnecting children with nature is fundamental and urgent, so we created a series of workshops for this purpose. We propose practical experiences that will raise children's awareness of their relationship with the earth, plants and water, and we want to support you in guiding this transformation! And there? Let's co-create new world possibilities together that value childhood and nature?

CoCriança: Sustainability for Childhood is a simple and in-depth workshop journey that supports children’s reconnection with nature!
The proposal consists of a series of three workshops that, providing practical sustainability learning, aim to strengthen children's bonds (aged 4 to 12) with the cycles of nature, bringing their relationships with the earth, plants and the water. The workshops invite children to reflect in practice on the multiple dimensions of sustainability, bringing to light alternative ways of engaging with nature, caring for, respecting and, thus, feeling more part of it.
The first workshop proposes a connection with the cycles of nature based on the understanding of a compost bin. The second proposes the planting of an urban vegetable garden, raising awareness of its benefits and playfulness – for all ages. The last workshop works on the relationship with water based on an experiment with a rain garden.
Shall we walk this path together? Come with us to co-create new possibilities for a more sustainable world with children!
Each Cocriança workshop is a unique experience. They manage to deal with topics as relevant as sustainability, active citizenship, the right to the city with lightness and fun, fundamental ingredients to gain the attention of young people, and those not so young. It is precisely the fact of uniting children and adults in an experience that mixes playing and learning that enhances the connection with the topic, also improving healthy intergenerational coexistence. With a good mix between the presentation of new concepts and active and participatory learning, Cocriança is able to conduct complete learning of theory, practice, co-creation and mutual help that translate into the success of each workshop's indicators: no one leaves the same as they did when they entered. At least a handful of dirt, a few arms of paint and a mind bubbling with new synapses, everyone will win!
