This educational experience seeks to inspire people, communities and organizations to develop a socio-emotional training program that uses music and games as a laboratory for practicing human skills such as empathy, communication and teamwork, strengthening inner confidence, social leadership and the growth mindset of children and young people between the ages of 7 and 16. This program can also be adapted to be applied to youth and adults.
The leaders of this initiative do not need to have musical knowledge to implement it. Nor is it necessary for them to have musical instruments to carry out the project, since this program is designed for children and young people to use their bodies and voices as their own natural instruments with which they will learn to make music and cultivate human values necessary to live in harmony with themselves and with those around them.
The implementation of this initiative has a total duration (suggested) of five months, however the leaders are free to carry it out in less time. The team chosen for the development of the program will receive support and monitoring throughout the process by the Amadeus team.
Using this educational experience as a starting point, the leaders and teams that wish to implement it will acquire the initial foundations to create a new musical training program with special emphasis on the development of emotional intelligence, social leadership and the growth mindset of children and young people through a unique educational philosophy that Amadeus has applied for more than 25 years in vulnerable territories in the Aburrá Valley of Medellín-Colombia with significant achievements of social and cultural impact.
Through a series of activities and challenges, Amadeus empowers the initiative's leaders to promote human values and a culture of peaceful coexistence through music, play and creativity. The program ends with a closing event (suggested) designed and executed by the community to give special recognition to the achievements of the leadership team, the beneficiary children and youth, and the participating community, and a final evaluation process by the leaders implementing the program.
It is ideal that the students who participate are between 7 and 16 years old, however the activities are designed to be carried out with people of any age.
