Partnership Development Lead (LATAM)

We’re looking for a Partnership Development Lead to drive our business development activities for Latin America, especially Central America, with a focus on climate and sustainability.

Location: Remote (located in the Americas, with a slight preference for US-based)

Role Status: Full-time permanent role

Remuneration: Competitive salary subject to experience and location (between USD $50,000 to $95,000) plus benefits

Our business model is called Impact as a Service. We make it easy for funders to invest in the innovations they want to spread in regions they care most about. Our partners include Microsoft, the LEGO Foundation, Service Now, PwC, Amazon Web Services and Paramount.

 

This Role:

This is a full-time position at the core of our Partnerships team, working closely with internal teams (Impact and Product) and external teams, and focused on climate action and sustainability.

You will be responsible for building multi-million, multi-year, funding partnerships with international companies, foundations, and governments for spreading social and environmental innovations in Central America and LATAM.  

A critical deliverable as part of a new climate program with Inter-American Development Bank will be securing USD 2 million in direct funding over 2025-2026 for climate mitigation and adaptation solutions in the five targeted countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama.  At least 30% of those funds must come from regional funders from Central America.  

Beyond Central America, you will build partnerships for at least USD 6 million in the first 3 years for LATAM.

 

You will:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of local, regional and international partnership prospects that could fund our Climate Action program in Central America and other thematic programs/funds that ChangeX could implement around Latin America. 
  • Drive market research and analysis, including research of potential partners in key sectors and geographies. 
  • Leverage your network and ChangeX network to secure meetings with relevant prospects and qualify them in or out. Represent ChangeX in any critical network building events.
  • Design and develop proposals for prospective partners around their needs and our offering with a primary focus on best fit international companies and foundations.
  • Develop and deliver relevant presentations and sales materials. 
  • Coordinate with the impact team on partnership execution and impact reporting.
  • Manage each stage of the sales process: prospecting, proposals, contracting, (support execution and reporting) and ongoing relationship management. 
  • Be accountable for revenue to the Partnerships team and execution through the Impact team.
  • Build relationships with social innovators to support the expansion of ChangeX’s portfolio of impactful and scalable innovations, focusing primarily on climate, environmental, and sustainability-related ideas, with potential inclusion of other areas based on interest and expertise.

 

We are looking for people* who have:

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships development, with demonstrated track record of success in building and managing multi million, multiyear partnerships.
  • An established network with multinational companies and/or foundations. 
  • An entrepreneurial / intrapreneurial track record
  • High social and emotional intelligence and strong team player
  • A demonstrated commitment to community-driven social or environmental change 
  • Strong empathy and ethical fiber. 
  • Native Spanish and fluency in English. Portuguese is a plus. 
  • An established network in the impact ecosystem in Central America is a bonus.
  • Experience in partnership development
  • Passion for scaling ideas
