Biodiversity in Schools

Biodiversity in Schools empowers young people across Ireland with the skills and resources to help nature in their communities.

Biodiversity in Schools is Ireland's nature conservation organisation for young people, aiming to inspire the next generation to protect nature.

They run Ireland's largest & most impactful nature programmes for schools, working with pre, primary, secondary, home-schools and community groups across the entire island of Ireland. They have an annual reach of over 400,000 young people and almost 4,000 teachers and schools.

This unique project makes it as simple, fun and effective as possible to take action for nature in your local community by providing a complete biodiversity kit to take you through the seasons.

You will receive seasonal Bosca Dúlra teaching kits delivered straight to your classroom packed full of inspiration and activities as well as a tree/ hedgerow planting kit, outdoor educational signage to build a nature trail and enrollment in all our nature education programmes for a full year.

Each kit is designed to cater for up to 32 young people although the projects once implemented will have a far greater reach, extending to the entire school.

The young people in your care will be brought on an exciting journey through a different project each season including Coill na nÓg, Big School Bird Count, Pollinator Project and the Nature Hero Awards all while taking real action in their local community including planting trees and growing meadows all while boosting their ecoliteracy.
