Welcome to the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. We want to help to give you the knowledge you need to help your local wildlife. Why not form a group to help biodiversity in your school? We’ll tell you all you need to know to help your local biodiversity.

The aim of Pollinator Plan Juniors is to enable students to help our pollinating insects that are struggling to find food and are declining in numbers. The health of our pollinators is crucial to ensure the sustainability of our food, avoid additional economic impacts on agriculture, and protect the health of the environment. Through the Pollinator Plan Juniors, students can learn about our pollinators, why they’re important, and what they need to survive. The programme includes many resources and lesson plans for classes that offer students a constructive way to help the planet and ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and learn about growing and gardening.
“You and your children will benefit from engagement with the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. Your village or town will benefit and – most important of all – your bees, pollinators and wildlife will reap the rewards of your labour. And – it’s lots of fun!”
- Pat Foley, Geashill Tidy Towns
How to get involved
Time:
3–6 hours a week. You'll need to find and map existing pollinator habitats in your school grounds and then gather your tools and signage to improve and maintain.
