Welcome to the Grow Remote Ashford Wicklow chapter! This group was set up in November 2018 and is run by volunteers. We are keen to build a thriving community of remote workers in and around Ashford/ Newtownmountkennedy  in Co. Wicklow. Regardless of your industry, background and whether you're already working remotely or you're interested in exploring remote work, we're keen to hear from you.

We have a dual goal:

  • connect remote workers in the region, share stories and support each other
  • enable the 70% of surveyed commuters who said they would take a similar job in Wicklow if available, to actually find remote work

HIall, its been a while since we posted and Id like ot let you know we will be getting our meetings back up and going. We will meet in Jacksmill-HUB13, for an update on whats goign on i nthe area, remote working opportunities and how we can help with hub/studio/ workshop/ office spaces.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Eamon Kennedy and I'm from Co. Tipperary, I am currently writing my master thesis at Radboud University in the Netherlands. I’m writing it on how trust, communication and control affected the performance of remote workers in Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic. To complete this thesis, I need to conduct interviews with different people who worked remotely during the pandemic. I am therefore wondering if any of you would be available around the end of May for about a 30/35 minute interview via Skype or by phone.

Seeing as I am based in the Netherlands it is difficult to find people working in Ireland to interview so it would be greatly greatly appreciated.
