This hands-on STEAM play system has become a valuable asset, offering creative, educational play inside our office and at kid zones during community events. It encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and interaction among children who may not know each other. Additionally, it has reduced event costs by eliminating the need to rent a bouncy house on multiple occasions.

Action plan:

Timeline: As soon as the Rigamajig arrives. We will discuss programming with the Rigamajig monthly at our already scheduled Board of Directors and event meetings.

Budget: We will use the funds to offer coffee, cookie, or snow cone tabs for attendees at the restaurants we are using as host locations on specified Saturday mornings. Once the seed money is spent, we will use one of our sponsors to continue the fund.

Impact: Without travelling to our MS Children's Musuem twenty minutes away, our community does not have this item and we are excited to offer it to the children of Brandon. Offering STEAM events for our local families in our local restaurants and businesses one Saturday a month and at our large festivals will offer educational entertainment, expose children to different elements of science, technology, engineering, and math while also driving foot traffic to our small businesses. Furthermore, we will utilize our local Junior Auxiliary Crown Club or Mayors Youth Council groups to assist with the project at large events, reinforcing the importance of STEM to high school aged children as well.

Location: We will store the project at our offices and bring it to event sites. No permits needed.
