Town Tasters is one of those lightbulb moments that evolved from the first Grow Remote get-together in Tralee in the Summer of 2018. We were trying to understand how we could get from an event to the ultimate goal of more people living and working in areas that are more suited to overall Quality of Life. It was suggested that we find a way that would give people an opportunity to try out such locations around the country and give them a point of contact that could go a little deeper on what the local schools, amenities, outdoor activities, night life and local business community is like.

Abbeyfeale is nestled on the Limerick / Kerry border and is geographically centered on the main route into the beautiful southwest of Ireland. Abbeyfeale is also central to a number of Universities, Institutes of Technology, Airports, Beaches and world-class Golf courses.

We are one of only a small number of traditional Market Towns left in the Country that has managed to hold onto both Bank of Ireland and AIB along with having the well-established Abbeyfeale Credit Union.

Abbeyfeale is lucky enough to have Fibre Broadband throughout the Town with a number of small office spaces ready to rent and funding of €200,000 which has just been approved for the creation of a new e-hub / co-working space within the Town itself. Work on this project is due to start in early-mid 2019.

Abbeyfeale is also very fortunate to have no less than 5 highly sough-after Primary Schools between Town and Countryside along with a newly-built state-of-the art 700 pupil Secondary School which is also within the Town environs.

Abbeyfeale is the only Community in Ireland that has an Auditorium designed Theatre, an Equestrian Centre, award winning 29 acre Town Park and 40Km Great Southern Greenway all within walking distance of Town centre.
