O nás 2life crew

Murals for Communities transforms neighbourhoods through collaborative public art that brings people of all ages together in meaningful creative expression.

This initiative addresses social disconnection by providing communities with a platform to celebrate their identity through visual storytelling. It's designed for community groups, schools, local councils, and residents who want to revitalise forgotten spaces whilst building stronger social bonds.

The project involves facilitated workshops where community members share ideas and themes, followed by collaborative design sessions with professional artists. Participants then work together to create the mural, culminating in a community celebration of the finished artwork.

Communities benefit from enhanced local pride, improved public spaces, stronger social connections, and increased civic engagement. The process develops creative skills, provides intergenerational learning opportunities, and creates lasting visual landmarks that reflect community values and aspirations.

As part of replication, you'll receive access to the comprehensive Murals for Communities Handbook, developed through a Creative Europe partnership between Waterford, Heerlen, and Kaunas, plus ongoing support throughout your project journey.
