The preparation for the season lasts about 10-15 weeks, with one meeting per week. You can start preparing between August and February. The season culminates with the Explore Exhibitions, which take place in May and June.

Step 1: Apply for a scholarship and start the 30-day challenge

The first step is to sign up for the program and start a specially prepared 30-day challenge. It is an inspiring series of simple activities, thanks to which children and trainers will learn the basics of teamwork, creative thinking and elements of construction.

The challenge is a great introduction to working in the FIRST LEGO League Explore program – it teaches regularity, strengthens commitment and builds a positive atmosphere.
Regularity and fun are the most important things here!

Register on the program website

While you’re completing the challenge, you can register for the new season of FIRST LEGO League Explore. Registration will allow you to:

  • receive current information and reminders,

  • gain access to additional materials,

  • keep up to date with news and inspiration from around the world of FLL.

This is an important step that allows you to fully enter the world of the program.

Registration on the website: fll.edu.pl

Get LEGO sets and design materials

Once you qualify for the program, we will send all necessary materials to the address provided:

  • LEGO Education SPIKE Essential Set – ideal for working with younger children, featuring colorful building blocks, motors and sensors,

  • Explore Set – a seasonal set with an inspiring mat and buildable models that match the theme.

In addition, you will receive educational materials for the Coach and the team - lesson plans, worksheets and organizational tips. Everything you need to get started!

Take part in the training and plan your work with children

We have prepared a training for trainers that will introduce you step by step to how to conduct classes with children.
You will learn, among other things:

  • how to use SPIKE Essential sets,

  • how to support children in design work and model construction,

  • how to inspire people to ask questions and look for answers,

  • how to prepare children to participate in an exhibition.

The training is also a space for asking questions and sharing experiences with other participants.

Work together and present the results at the final event

Plan a series of classes (e.g. 10 meetings) during which children:

  • learn about the theme of the season and discover issues related to it,

  • they build models from LEGO bricks,

  • document their activities in the Team Journal,

  • prepare an information poster and a presentation of their work.

At the end of the project, we will invite you to the Exhibition – full of positive energy, presentation of works and joint celebration of the teams' achievements.
