Every piece of litter cleaned from our shores is one less in the ocean. Whether you live on the coast or inland, enters bodies of water and contaminates sensitive environments, posing threats to wildlife. Ocean Wise has galvanized over 1 million people for shoreline cleanups, join us and be a part of something positive for our ocean and waterways!!

All places lead to the ocean eventually. We welcome you to host an Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup to protect the ocean, but also lakes, rivers, watersheds, and even groundwater from plastic pollution.

During your cleanup, your group will enjoy being outside making a difference, but they will also become citizen scientists collecting and tracking the litter in your community! Once you’ve completed your cleanup, submit your online data card and survey at ocean.org to let us know what litter is most prevalent near you.

Ocean Wise will collate the data all of our citizen scientists collect and share this with like-minded NGOs, business groups and governments to inform decisions to help keep litter out of our waterways!

Čas: No cleanup is too small! You'll need to spend some time gathering materials (buckets, gloves, grab sticks, and a scale) but after that, any time removing plastic pollution from its path to the ocean is time well spent!
