The €150,000 AWS InCommunities Drogheda Fund will help you to start or expand a community project in your neighbourhood in Drogheda and the surrounding areas. AWS InCommunities is dedicated to building a world where every person has the opportunity to live a life of dignity on a healthy planet.

How it works

  • Community Fridge

    Community Fridges are accessible public spaces where local businesses and residents share surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, creating stronger communities whilst reducing environmental impact.

  • Open Orchard

    Plant fruit trees in public spaces to provide free food for residents while bringing neighbours together through collaborative environmental action that creates lasting community connections.

  • WeCount Project

    Monitor traffic and air pollution in your local community and use the data to create healthier and more sustainable communities.

  • FIRST® LEGO® League Discover UK

    Lead a hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programme in your school or community for 4-6 year-olds.

  • CycleBus

    A community-led initiative where trained volunteers escort groups of children to school by bike along safe, planned routes, creating a mobile protected cycle lane for young cyclists.

  • FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge UK

    Lead a hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programme in your school or community for 9-16 year-olds.

  • FIRST® LEGO® League Explore UK

    Lead a hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programme in your school or community for 6-9 year-olds.

  • Grow Remote

    We're on a mission to make remote employment visible and available in local communities, regardless of location

  • Poetry in the Park

    Organize a regular community gathering in your local area to celebrate a love of the written or spoken word.

  • Pollinator Plan

    Transform your local area into a thriving habitat for bees and pollinators through simple, community-led actions that reduce mowing, plant native flowers, and create nesting spaces

  • Pollinator Plan Juniors

    Support biodiversity in your school community with the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.

  • Small Pocket Forest

    Create a densely planted 25-square-metre native forest in your community with expert guidance, bringing biodiversity and natural connection to urban spaces through collaborative workshops.
