Our community had a fantastic summer tending to our garden and planting summer produce while planning for our winter beds of beetroot and onions! The funding was great appreciated and allowed us to buy new herbs, vegetables but also accessories such as potting tables, water butts to allow the garden to function on its own and also make it a wonderful place to experiment with . We harvest our produce to share with the community and its created a great atmosphere of teamwork and most importantly the experience of natural home grown vegetables and herbs in our kitchens

Aim for the program will be :
1. -Plant a selection of fruits, vegetables and herbs
2. -Setup a summer program to allow residents within our community to grow and use a selection of fruits, vegetables, and herbs
3. -Setup a program to co ordinate keeps of the area
4. -Run an outdoor cooking event to show how to use the vegetables to make dishes from scratch
Funding will be used for:
• Purchase fruits & vegetables
• Compost
• Water butt
• Work bench
• Bamboo sticks
• Gardening tools
• Complete structure of area
Our community (especially focused on youth) how fruits and vegetables are grown and how to look after them. We are also hoping to introduce a cooking element to show how to use them best. It will provide a great opportunity to educate our younger members and inspire them to move away from processed options
