Foróige Club

What is a Foróige Club?

Foróige Clubs support thousands of young people across the country to be the best that they can be. They offer young people the opportunity to run the club themselves in co-operation with adult volunteers. Typical activities at clubs include getting involved in the local community through clean ups, fundraising or local campaigns, getting involved in sport, music, games or just chatting over a cuppa, going to the cinema or outdoor activities. Whatever young people's interest is there's room for it at the Foróige club! Young people also take part in activities such as Leadership, Citizenship, Entrepreneurship and Health programmes.

Foróige clubs encourage young people to take responsibility for themselves and to be part of shaping the world while developing their talents, skills and character. They're guided by trained volunteer adults who are especially recruited for their openness to sharing responsibility and decision making with young people. Clubs hold weekly meetings of all members and volunteers where decisions are made together about activities undertaken and there's lots of opportunity for fun and relaxation.
