"We think play is pretty important, and it’s great to see that you do too. Wondering how to get started? Look no further. Here's a simple step by step guide to getting your Play Library up and running. We can’t wait to meet you." - Evie Keough
We'll kick off with an onboarding call (45 mins) to get you up and running, then you'll need to set aside time to prepare for and host your parent launch session. Once your Play Library is up and running, you'll simply need a little time each week to manage the family borrowing of the bags.
Find your partners in play
Recruit people from your school community to support your Play Library implementation. Focus on identifying play champions such as your headteacher, early years lead, classroom teachers, or engaged parents who understand the value of family learning.
Share Boromi's ChangeX page, resources, and website with potential team members so they can learn about the initiative and commit to supporting its success. Consider including parent volunteers who can help promote the programme and encourage other families to participate.
You’ve got your project action plan ready to go, you’ve unlocked the funding… what now?
Now the fun starts! We’ll book a 1:1 onboarding call with you to cover:
This call will be approximately 30-45 minutes and ideally take place over Microsoft Teams
There’s no need to wait until your Play Library launch to get the excitement building. We’ll provide you with a folder of resources and materials (posters, videos, social posts etc) that you can use to start sharing about the importance of play and your upcoming Play Library with your families over the holidays!
After your Play Library arrives, we’ll support you to host your family launch event. Launch events look different for every school and we’ll help you to launch in a way that works best for you and your families (i.e. a coffee morning, stay and play session, virtual meeting, drop and play or shared videos).
Your Play Library is up and running, great work!
Now it’s time to enjoy:
The Boromi team are here to help with questions, ideas or suggestions, every step of the way. Happy playing!
