Time

The time spent in class can be determined by the teachers themselves. We offer experiments, workshops/projects and teaching units from 30 minutes to 6 hours. The experiment set, for example, offers 4 different experiments for 4 teaching units of up to 45 minutes each in the physics room.

Is your school looking for interactive content about sustainability and photovoltaics? Content that represents the energy transition in a positive and emotional way? You are in the right place.

Our educational package includes the following elements:

- A primary education game for the lower grades

- A PV experiment set (4 different experiments, each of which is available twice, so that 16 students can experiment in parallel) for physics lessons

- A PV learning resource system that can be independently switched on and off by schoolchildren from the 9th grade, e.g. 1/2 year is also dismantled again, so that the next class can work with it.

- A learning unit of your choice (conducted by us on site, if desired)

- A feasibility study for a PV system for your school (if you do not already have a PV system)

More details can be found here in the resources and on our website. If this project is of interest to your school, which we very much hope, then please apply here as a first step.

The total financial value of the Solar Education program for your school is €10,490. Your school will be given €1,900 of this directly to pay for the feasibility study at the end of the program. Costs for all other technical equipment and content in the program will be paid for directly by ChangeX to Solar Education on behalf of your school.

Should your school be successful in the application and eligible to participate, we will contact you to include you in the program, select the learning unit of your choice for the educational package and schedule the delivery of the educational game, experimentation kit and teaching aids discuss and agree.

The learning units to choose from are:

- PV live stream (only possible if your school has a PV system)

- ethics lesson

- Where does the energy come from

- Basic understanding of energy consumption

- Studies on PV cells

- Mathematics with the generation data of a PV system

See Resources for more details.

In consultation with you, we carry out the learning unit you have selected with a class.

With the help of online videos, we prepare you or you can prepare yourself for the use of the PV experiment kit and the learning game.

With the PV learning aid system, the students can set up a small but complete PV system themselves.

In addition to the practical work, questions such as "where" should we best set up the system and "why" should we align it to the south or east/west.

The practical, application-oriented work is not an everyday, valuable experience for all students, especially for students who tend to be passive in traditional classes.

Our vision is that the knowledge gained at a young age resonates in adulthood and correlates with increased ability to address local and global challenges and contribute responsibly within society. Our educational offer combines the topics of energy transition and photovoltaics in an emotional way.

Each school year we will create new learning units and content. And if you don't have a PV system yet, we hope the feasibility study has confirmed to you that the installation makes economic sense.
