Project and problem-based learning support student inquiry and give students a purpose for their learning. It encourages them to think “What can I do to help?” And then they actually formulate ideas and work through a plan to do that. It gives them such a feeling of empowerment. That sense of purpose is a lot of what’s missing in education today, and that’s what World Savvy Classrooms has helped me create in my classroom.
