Teachers today are expected to teach high academic standards, but we also need to be social worker, therapist, and psychologist. Lack of funding for staff and staff development; leave many teachers unprepared to handle all of the social emotional issues our students face every day. Playworks provides students the critical social and emotional skills they need to learn effectively in the classroom, solve their own conflicts and manage their behavior. Playworks programming delivers students back to the classroom who are ready to learn, providing teachers with the support they need to optimize their school day.
