Event - 30/07/22
Project Overview:
A daytime event was held on to provide parents with tools and resources for self-care and prioritizing mental health. The event included a facilitator who led discussions and activities on topics like quick meditations, asking for support, creating "me time," and signs to look out for if further mental health support is needed.
Impact:
- Positive feedback was received from attendees about the useful tips and local mental health resources provided.
- Attendees said they felt empowered to better care for their own wellbeing.
- The facilitator guided interactive discussions and activities on managing stress.
- Attendees learned mediation techniques, ways to ask for support, and ideas for self-care.
- Connections were built between parents facing similar challenges.
Project Plan
Timeline: The event will occur within a month of receiving the funds. The event will be a evening in the week. We have another meeting scheduled for next week.
Budget: I will be spending £250 on the venue and drinks for my guests. £100 for marketing (social media) £140 - Facilitator
Impact: I am aiming for a minimum of 6 to attend to my event, the impact is providing parents with the tools to ensure they put themselves first. All the pressure of being a parent we often put ourselves last. But this doesn't serve anyone because the moment your not ok your home is not ok. So the facilitator will be providing support with:
Quick mediations - How to mediate in 10mins
Asking for support - How to ask and plan the support around you
Creating me time - Other ways to crave out time for yourself
Support - local support for mental health - signs to look out for if you need further support
My community will benefit from this event as it will provide support the tools for the guest to give themselves small nuggets of self care.
Location - The venue has all needed permits.

- evening because mums said day time events with children are great but can’t concentrate on engaging in the conversation
-many wanting to work on there identity outside of being a mother.
- sharing the event on social media and in what’s app groups
