We are a local voluntary group working in Enniscorthy to become an exemplar sustainable town, a town that is working together to become an even better place to live, work and visit. We hope to recognise all the great things about our town and to help drive positive change. Highlighting the importance of the Slaney for our town and advocating for excellent water quality is one of our group's priorities. Find out more at https://www.sustainableenniscorthy.com/

Hi all I sampled the Kilgibbon stream which runs very close to my house (And other houses) this evening. Moderate status. A lot going on at this small stream. I suspect septic tanks, agri and roads.
Tested again tonight after a 5 week break! Noticeable increase in the growth by the bank of the stream compared to last photo & test on 7 May. Water test results the same N=1, P =<0.02. “Your dataset indicates that this waterbody has a very good ecological status” 😊
I sampled the same spot today as I did a fortnight ago. Same results N: 1, P: 0.02. “this waterbody has a very good ecological status”. I also removed some Skunk Cabbage 🥬 non native invasive species. Lots more still to remove in future weeks.
