We are a local voluntary group working in Enniscorthy to become an exemplar sustainable town, a town that is working together to become an even better place to live, work and visit. We hope to recognise all the great things about our town and to help drive positive change. Highlighting the importance of the Slaney for our town and advocating for excellent water quality is one of our group's priorities. Find out more at https://www.sustainableenniscorthy.com/
We recently took part in a FreshWater project to check water quality along the Slaney. We are now starting a project with Enniscorthy Tidy Towns to help conserve water in the town so we can reduce the risk of flooding.

Welcome to all members. This page will be used to track installation, hints and tips on how to get the most out of your water butt. I installed a 200L butt last year and the uses are endless. Gardening, cleaning and much more!
Following on from our water quality testing programme we looking forward to a new water conservation project with Enniscorthy Tidy Towns which will start soon!! More details to follow!!!!
Hi all here is the article from Nov 2023 from Feargal a journalist who I met at Borodale to cover the project - https://www.waternewseurope.com/irish-waters-decline-due-to-growing-dairy-industry/
Freshwater.org are encouraging all existing groups around the world to take part in the World WaterBlitz event, starting today until 18 September. The aim is to collect as much water quality data as possible across multiple countries.
They are interested in comparing the freshwater health in different locations, celebrating the cleanest waterbodies, and identifying any pollution hotspots.
You can share your experience of water testing on social media by posting @Earthwatch_Eur using the hashtag #WaterBlitz.
Hi all I have collected 12 samples from 5 locations. My favourite location is Borodale but I must get the numbers up at the other spots! Hoping to do more sampling now in winter to see if any difference. The app is very handy
