Books for a Sustainable Future is a Book Dash project to further their vision that “Every child should own a hundred books by the age of five”. Book Dash provides beautiful and relevant children’s books that you can select, print, and distribute to young children in your community, to own. The Book Dash books to choose from are wordless books from the "Nature and looking after our planet" theme to encourage awareness and familiarity with environmental topics and sustainable ways of looking after our planet.

Through working together, the project combines:

• Existing beautiful and relevant Book Dash books in electronic format, ready to print
• You, a positive and passionate community changemaker
• Guidance, support, and funding to enable you to print and distribute between 1,000 and 2,000 picture books to children in your community to own

Are you a passionate member of your community who is aware of the beauty of the planet we live on, and interested in spreading the magic of book ownership and all its benefits? Do you have basic project management skills and are you a good communicator? Can you keep track of your progress and give us feedback throughout? Then apply to get Book Dash books to children in your community!

Research shows that giving engaging, relevant and home language books to children between birth and 5 is a proven way to ensure they do better at school, are healthier and happier, and have better access to future income opportunities. There are many children under five without any books in their homes - and some of them are in your community. By working with Book Dash and ChangeX to get books to children and families to own, you can help the young children in your community to fall in love with books, and give them a bright future.
