There is a total fund of $70,000 available to help support new community projects across Arizona. Each applicant who successfully completes a 30 Day Challenge and an Impact Challange will receive funding amounts ranging from $500-$5,000 to help get their selected project off the ground.
The steps to complete the 30 Day Challenge include:
- Scheduling a 15 min call with one of the ChangeX team
- Recruiting 4 people to join your team
- Hosting a casual kick-off meeting
- Sharing a team photo & a short action plan
Once you submit your project plan and team photo, we will review your challenge submission. If successful you will receive a payment of 70% of your allocated funding at this stage. If you don’t complete the 30 Day Challenge within the first 30 days your money will be reallocated to another group in Arizona on the waiting list. Once your project is up and running, to unlock your impact funding (remaining 30% of funding), you need to submit a photo of your project in action and tell us about the impact it is having in your community.
The funding is available to cover direct costs relating to the set-up or maintenance of the new project. For example, funds can be used for space rental, insurance fees, seeds and planting materials, tools, training fees etc. To receive the funding, the applicant must agree to keep all receipts as evidence of how the money was spent.
