The NGO Live Lab was founded to train young people aged 13 to 25 to be transformative agents in the creation and regeneration of the world in which they live. Research shows that Generation Z has high socio-environmental engagement, cares about climate issues and wants to change the world, starting with their community. Based on this, LiveLab creates and applies methodologies compatible with the natural characteristics and tendencies of this generation, transforming them into games, so that they can peacefully overcome the challenges of today's world through play. LiveLab's methodology challenges teams of young people (known as Leagues) so that, through playful challenges in collaborative games, they mobilize their communities and solve real challenges in their territories. LiveLab has already created 9 collaborative games, impacted more than 600,000 lives and supported the creation of more than 2,000 Leagues across Brazil. In addition, it has more than 150 volunteers and more than 300 partners who contribute to achieving the purpose of "awakening the power of the collective to live transformative journeys". Our co-founder, Edgard Gouveia is a visionary, Ashoka & BMW Foundation Fellow who dedicates his career to mobilizing teenagers, young people and adults through collective action to create small community revolutions. By designing and applying virtual games, scavenger hunts and playful and cooperative activities, he encourages and inspires people to work together to transform themselves, their communities, their immediate environment and the world around them.
