The hedge whips are well settled and we will be completing the planting of the understory. Pocket Forests will be returning to pur up signage. The staff in the Credit Union are very happy with the visual improvement. The planting has also captured the attention of the villagers!

Doing this project has forged a close alliance with the Credit Union. It has most importantly added another location to the pollinator pathways providing a vital link between the Castle Park and the Rathfarnham Village biodiversity garden. It shows residents what can be achieved in a small space and prompts them to consider how they can improve biodiversity in their own gardens.

The team have had a number of work group sessions between 30th August & 8th September and during these sessions we have cut back the box hedge, cut & dug out the roots, raked & treated the ground. Left the ground ready for ground cover and wood chip application which will take place on 16th September in conjunction with Pocket Forest.
