After several days of hard work, we are very proud to say that we have finished the project in San Lorenzo!
Both the community and ourselves are very satisfied with the final result. The mural has been super integrated with the environment, no doubt the area has gained a great beauty now. Here are some pictures of the final result. We are also editing a video of the whole process, as soon as it is ready we will upload it to the platform as well.
All this could not have been possible without the help of the Change X organization and the members of the community of San Lorenzo who came to participate. Thank you very much, this project is yours too!

We are now coming to the end of the project. We are very happy with how it is turning out. We hope that at the beginning of March we will finish it. We would like to thank all the people in the community who ask questions, come by to help or just stop by to look at it and give us encouragement.

Ya tenemos todo listo para empezar esta semana a pintar. El mural se realizara finalmente en San Lorenzo del Escorial, en el parque situado en la calle Juan de Toledo pegado a la biblioteca municipal.

Project Mural for communities - Change X

Description of the project

Creation of an outdoor mural located in San Lorenzo de el Escorial, in the park located between the streets Juan de Toledo and Vista Bella. In collaboration with the Casa de la Juventud and the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in conjunction with the participation of the community of San Lorenzo de el Escorial.

Execution

1.Design:
After a meeting with the community the chosen theme has been nature. We will proceed to the realization of several proposals around this theme. We will hold another meeting on September 20th to present the proposals to the community and we will proceed to choose one for its realization.
We will share with you the different design proposals as well as the participation of the community in the selection of the design.

2. Material and Cost:

These would be all the materials and means necessary for the execution of the project. The artists of the team will be in charge of obtaining them and justifying the costs.

3. Date of realization of the mural:
Once the funds are received to obtain the materials will be agreed with the Casa de la Juventud and the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
Approximate date: October 15, 2022.
The completion time of the mural is estimated between 3 and 5 days.

4. Execution plan:
-Protection of the area.
-Surface preparation.
-Designing the mural.
-Collaboration with community volunteers to participate in the first steps of the mural.
-Realization of the rest of the mural by the artists of the team.
-Photo of the final result.

*Document the whole process for its promotion in the RRSS.

Description of the project

Creation of an outdoor mural (dimensions and location to be determined) in collaboration with an organisation that carries out inclusive activities. Participate in the realisation of the mural together with the artists of the team and at the same time organise a public event for the community to participate.

Execution

1. Realisation of the design:
It will be agreed with the social entity that will talk beforehand with the community of the area where the mural will be realised. It is estimated to take 1 to 3 days to complete.

Material needed:
Once the final design is agreed upon, a list of all the materials necessary for its execution will be made and the artists of the team will be in charge of obtaining them before the date of execution. Estimated time - 1 day.

Date of realisation:
It will be agreed with the social entity.
The estimated time for the realisation of the mural is between 1 and 3 days.

4.Planing of execution:
Once all the above points are agreed the team will meet and establish the steps for the execution of the mural. Pablo Vaquero as project leader will be in charge of organising the team members for each function.
Estimated time for the organisation of the planning - 1 day.

Funding

1000€-2000€

These funds will be used for:
-Wall restoration material (spatulas, primer coat, etc).
-Protection material (floor protection, masking tape, gloves, etc.)
-Mural material (sprays, plastic paint, paint brushes, etc.)
-Transport costs
-Per diems during the day(s) of the event.
-Assistance for the organisation of the event together with the social partner.

Once all the points of the execution are established, we will be able to establish an exact figure between the two mentioned above.
