Lots of sampling done recently... largely good, nitrates a little high in some places.... big sampling plans again next week
I sampled the same spot today as I did a fortnight ago. Same results N: 1, P: 0.02. “this waterbody has a very good ecological status”. I also removed more Skunk Cabbage 🥬 non native invasive species upstream.

Another test this evening, water quality good although the nitrates were a little high!
Beautiful day today. I sampled the river Slaney just upstream of the old bridge on the swimming pool side. Results surprisingly good! (On my coffee break I might add) 😂.
I sampled Borodale this afternoon! Results similar to previous was undecided on 1 -2 or 2-5 plenty of agri upstream and heavy rain so went 2 to 5

Did my first water test today. Bit fiddly & took longer than I expected. Should be a bit quicker next time. Results good “this waterbody has a very good ecological status”. 😊
Thanks Irene for showing me the ropes this morning! We did one location near Slaney nature walk I'm going to to Borodale and a couple of locations in town this week!!
