Welcome to Cycling Without Age on ChangeX. Cycling Without Age is all about reconnecting older adults with their local communities by venturing out on trishaw rides with new and old friends. That's what we've done since 2012 and this year, the need for trishaw rides is bigger than ever. Luckily the rides have proven easy to adapt to these new and challenging circumstances. Cycling Without Age is about new friendships, stories, adventures, and getting out of the four walls and living life to the full regardless of age.### Ole Kassow, Founder of Cycling Without Age

Benita has been doing a great job with the trade up! We have gone from a penny to a Turkish Rug worth about $500, a Pickleball starter set, a fancy jar and some cash!

Welcome Mariano, our newest member! He is looking forward to being a pilot!
Thanks to the TEMPE group for loaning their Trisahw! We have been able to share the message with so many more people! We have actually provided a few rides to those who can't get out on their own and for the first time they got to see the beautiful lakes around our neighborhood.
We have met several people since getting the loaner bike from Tempe and have started getting donations in our GoFund Me site: https://gofund.me/f9c776a8
Please share if you can!
Interest is finally climbing now that we are out of the stringent COVID requirements.
Thank you to Erin and the TEMPE Chapter for loaning us their bike to help create more interest in our project! More fundraising, here we go!!!
We have had many interested parties but as a result of COVID, donations have been limited. Thanks to the Tempe, AZ chapter, we will be using their Trishaw to provide demonstrations over the next three weeks a a community center as well as 3 retirement facilities. We have raised a total of $4688.65 toward the purchase price of a Trishaw currently priced at $10,749 plus shipping ($100-1000)
Still trying to raise money! The senior centers and long term care facilities are still holding back due to COVID policies.
We have had a couple of meetings to date to discuss fund raising ideas. Pernille has brought up a few organizations that may be able to provide at least partial funding, I have drafted e-mails to those organizations. We are on schedule to borrow a Trisahw and have some events between the Tempe and Chandler Chapters. We have raised an additional $1000! Hope to have some photos soon with Mark's Trishaw!
Met with Mark Shelley from a chapter in Prescott. He had a lot to share about how he got funding. We also discussed insurance and how he operates his chapter. Great conversation. We may also be able to borrow his bike for a weekend!
