MINIMUM CRITERIA:
This programme is for ECD Centre owners who
1. have been running their preschool for at least 2 years
2. have successfully completed the Grow ECD Business Accelerator (we will ask for your certificate of completion)
3. have at least 25 learners attending their preschool
4. is charging R300-R600 child per month in school fees
5. is located within 75km from a Grow ECD office in Cape Town, Midrand, Durban or Gqeberha
6. has at least an ECD NQF level 4 qualification
7. is using the free Grow ECD Giraffe app to manage daily attendance, income and expense tracking.
8. An ECD Centre in a formal structure like a house, container, building or wendy house (no shacks).

ChangeX and Grow ECD will set you a few challenges which you can complete in the next 30 days.
These include:
- Filling in an online form to make sure you qualify
- Uploading supporting documents (such as your proof of qualification)
- An interview with the ChangeX team.
- An interview with Grow ECD
Grow ECD will deliver and implement your classroom kit and train your teachers how to use the daily curriculum
Once your centre is approved for this opportunity, Grow ECD will be in contact with you. We will place an order with our supplier for your extensive new classroom resource kit and we will activate your access to the play-based online curriculum, built into your Grow Giraffe App.
Once the kit is ready, our Education Mentor and Programme Manager will visit your centre to help you unpack and set up your classrooms in the best way possible.
Educate and engage your parents, staff and community to get their support
We suggest you host a parent evening and find ways to engage and educate your parents and community about your "upgrade". We can assist you with resources and guidelines. Your community should see the work you have put in and the benefit to their children so that they can support your centre with current and future opportunities.
Implement the step-by-step Grow ECD Small Business programme and see your centre and children thrive
Join online and in-person training and mentorship sessions based on the recommended development areas we have identified together.
Use our tools to assess your learners and teachers and focus on their continuous development.
Together, we walk the road towards your centre's ongoing improvement and financial sustainability.

Masa
This is a 3-year trainnig and development programme. You should already be running your ECD Centre and be committed to it full time (no other side-jobs - you need to be actively involved at the centre day-to-day). The Grow ECD Small Business Programme will take 2 days to implement at your centre, once approved. You and your staff will be expected to attend ongoing professional development training at least once a quarter to boost your business and education skills and knowledge. You will be using the grow ECD app daily to track your registers and manage your centre's admin - this should save you time on paperwork!
