Welcome to Grow Remote on ChangeX! We're building a global movement to connect remote workers. We believe we’re in the middle of a seismic change in ways of working that opens up a whole new opportunity for a better quality of life, for remote workers and for rural communities. We'll help you do this in your local community by starting a Grow Remote Chapter.

Grow Remote connects remote workers, companies, and local communities so that people can choose to work where they want to live, and not vice versa. Remote work has the potential to create greater job opportunities across Ireland, and help reverse the decline of rural communities.

The biggest challenge for those who want to work remotely is isolation, and not knowing where to find the work. By building and promoting a community for remote workers, Grow Remote addresses these issues and encourages the creation and sustainability of vibrant rural communities.

This week we launched our Creative Film project with 6 secondary schools in Co. Longford. This is collaborative project with Harp Media and supported by Creative Ireland Longford
It is a series of 2 workshops with transition year students, to promote an awareness of remote working and the build a sense of pride in the student’s local community. We will have an exhibition of the films in May. We engaged with 151 students and teachers this week, which was great.

To the new members to the chapter, we will have a meet up at the end of the month and we will get chance to meet each other and fill you in.
