I work in the areas of music, permaculture/organic gardening and social/ecological restoration. I have recently returned to the area after two years in the UK where I was working with teens at risk of being excluded from school in an outdoor education/bushcraft skills setting. I would like to get involved with/start something that links people of all ages with each other and their environment to bring benefit to all.
I believe that our current cultural emphasis on economic growth and "jobs" comes at the expense of people and ecology which is why we see teenagers lost and suicidal, elders discarded and undervalued in nursing homes and too many people stretched to the limit just to make ends meet. I want to help create a society that values people for who they are rather than their productivity and takes the pressure off all of us.
