Welcome to the Loughrea and Craughwell Chapter of Grow Remote. This chapter caters for Loughrea and the surrounding areas.
Welcome to Grow Remote on ChangeX! We're building a national movement to connect remote workers in Ireland. We believe we’re in the middle of a seismic change in ways of working that opens up a whole new opportunity for a better quality of life, for remote workers and for rural Ireland. We'll help you do this in your local community by starting a Grow Remote Chapter.

Calling all remote workers in Loughrea and beyond! We are kicking off a more regular meet up at coffee junction Loughrea on the last Thursday of each month. This month it is on October 26th from 12.30 until 2.
I just refurbished an old shed into a co-working space. It has great fiber internet (90megs) and is warm and cozy. Still a work in progress. Happy to talk to anyone that might be interested in it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/SoCEXSQLBKz9V4mt8

Hi Everyone!
My name is Eamon Kennedy and I'm from Co. Tipperary, I am currently writing my master thesis at Radboud University in the Netherlands. I’m writing it on how trust, communication and control affected the performance of remote workers in Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic. To complete this thesis, I need to conduct interviews with different people who worked remotely during the pandemic. I am therefore wondering if any of you would be available around the end of May for about a 30/35 minute interview via Skype or by phone.
Seeing as I am based in the Netherlands it is difficult to find people working in Ireland to interview so it would be greatly greatly appreciated. My email is [email protected] and my mobile is +353872437033 if you wish to get in touch. otherwise if you know anyone that would be able to help me please let me know (whether it is an individual or an organisation).
Thanks a mill in advance!
Eamon
Hi Eamon, nice to meet you! Have you been able to connect with other remote workers through the Grow Remote online community? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfumyro-uPhspH2JNLhkLdumBEh5Tqc1Ru5BPpCEgAg81HNzQ/viewform
Hi all, we are having a very casual meet up for remote workers in Loughrea next Monday 25th at 11am. Hope to see some of you there!
Any update on the hub in Loughrea and when it will be available? Tks
Hi Joe, we are just waiting for some approvals to come through to start construction which we expect will take about 6 weeks so realistically we are approx 10 weeks out. Have you expressed your interest via www.comworks.ie ? If so you will be the first to get an update once we have our approvals confirmed. Thanks Jonathan
Hi all,
Recently moved to Loughrea.. I am a civil servant, working remotely, but will be spending 1 - 2 days in Dublin going forward. Looking to link in with like-minded people, and perhaps also keep an eye out for more locally based / fully remote roles that interest me.
