Spend less time and have more fun managing your local community project with ChangeX
Our ambition at ChangeX is it to make it easier for you to set up and run local projects that have a positive impact on other people’s lives.
We want you to spend less time figuring out how to get an idea up and running, marketing it or gathering the funds to realize them and to spend that time instead on enjoying your Men’s Sheds, GIY groups or Fàilte Isteach classes.
So today we’re officially launching the first version of our local ChangeX pages, allowing you to use tools for free that help you to with a number of core tasks you and thousands of other changemakers need to do every week.
The ChangeX pages allow you to:
- build your immediate online home, introducing your project with your header banner, address, open volunteering options and more
- reach the right people who can help out with your project or participate
- receive applications from people who want to join you as volunteers
- set up events that people can rsvp to
- post updates to engage with your community on ChangeX
- message your members and take advantage of auto-notifications your followers get when you update the page

Everything that happens on your local page will automatically update on the ChangeX page of the umbrella organisation that your project is part of and your page is listed on the local community page so that people from your area find your initiative easily.
We started with building the features that we felt would be most valuable for you looking at the biggest problems you’re facing. Interviewing 102 changemakers in Ireland in 2015 we learned that a lack of money, volunteers and momentum were the biggest challenges they face.
We’ll continuously improve these features for you and also provide you with more free learning materials and improved mentoring over the next month, so please watch this place.
