Meet the new members of the ChangeX team

We’re excited to announce that we’ve welcomed eight new team members to support our continued growth.

During the first six months of 2022, we launched in 4 new countries, with new funds in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Spain. Alongside new countries, we’ve also expanded our presence in existing regions and continued to develop our partnerships with our funding partners.

And, with our latest €7.4 million partnership with the LEGO Foundation, there’s more growth ahead.

As we plan for the next phase of our expansion, we’ve added new expertise, with new hires across all our teams.

New faces on our Partnerships and Impact teams

Tom Popple is our new Head of Partnerships, joining from Natural Capital Partners. He leads our funding partners’ programme, ensuring the effective design, development and delivery of impact funds across the world. He has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, such as Accenture, PwC, Deloitte, Sky and BBC, to bring their sustainability objectives to life.

Paula Gutiérrez Gómez, our LatAm Lead, oversees the implementation of impact initiatives and partnership development and management in LatAm. She previously worked in the Impact Hub Network as an entrepreneur and consultant for social innovation projects in Colombia, as well as a regional support coordinator for LatAm and Africa.

As our new Measurement, Evaluation and Learning Lead, Nada Ghandour-Demiri plays a key role in capturing social innovations’ impact on local communities. Previously, she worked in similar roles for organisations such as UNICEF and the Danish Refugee Council, and taught Politics and Sociology at the University of Bristol and the American University of Beirut. She holds a PhD in Politics.

Adding expertise to our Product team

With two new software engineers and a new Product Manager, our Product team is growing too.

As our Product Manager, Claire McGovern works with the Product team to innovate and scale the ChangeX platform to improve communities globally. Previously, she worked at Devex, the media platform for international development, in research at the UN University Institute, and in public relations.

Osny Netto is a multidisciplinary, detail-oriented front end/UI software engineer. He loves working with innovative and purposeful companies to create clean and user‑friendly experiences, focusing on business impact and growth.

Gabriel Garcia, a software engineer based in Brazil, creates new features for the ChangeX website, and ensures that existing features work as they should.

Growing across all functions

We’ve also added a new Finance Manager and a new Digital Marketing Manager.

Benter Owuor is responsible for all things finance at ChangeX. Previously, she worked in international finance roles for a variety of non-governmental organisations, including Oxfam. She holds an MBA in Finance and is an ACCA affiliate.

As our Digital Marketing Manager, Prateek Panwar is responsible for ChangeX’s digital marketing activities, including driving high-quality traffic to our platform and promoting our social innovations through various online channels. He has helped scale start-ups in the past and brings that experience with him to ChangeX.
