Meet our new team members

Our team is growing as we prepare to enter new regions in 2022.

Since ChangeX launched in 2015, we’ve supported more than 17,000 community projects across Ireland, the UK, the US and Sweden to drive positive change in their neighbourhoods.

We find great community ideas and help them to scale via our community engagement platform.

Working with our corporate partners, such as Microsoft, Lego and Accenture, we help local teams to access the funding they need to build better communities by adopting proven, scalable ideas. From coding to community gardens, and play to pollination, we partner with leading social innovators to give their ideas a wider reach.

We’re building for our future too.

We’re growing our presence in the US, preparing to launch in a number of new regions in Europe, with Spain and Austria next up. And we are working towards an expansion into Latin America in early 2022, initially in Brazil and Colombia.

And we’ve recently added to our team to drive forward our work across partnerships, innovation and product.

Our new team members are:

Karen O’Donohoe: As our Innovations Lead, Karen is responsible for finding the best community ideas from around the world to scale. She is founder of The Cottage Market and joined us from GIY (Grow it Yourself) where she helped scale a brilliant social enterprise over the past five years – some of that scale happening on ChangeX! Karen was co-producer and presenter of RTE’s Grow Cook Eat television show.

Emma Kennedy: As our Communications and Marketing Lead, Emma will bring inspiring stories from our community to a wider audience. She joined us from the Bank of England, and previously spent over a decade working as a business journalist and editor at Ireland’s leading business newspaper, The Sunday Business Post.

Leah Caudell-Feagan: As our Senior Community and Partnerships Manager, based in San Francisco, Leah will play a key role in our expansion across the US and Latin America. She joined us from Niantic, the developers of Pokémon GO, having seen the value of ChangeX as a customer.

Laura Murphy-Clarkin: As a Software Engineer on our Product team, Laura will play a key role in shaping our platform as we embark on this exciting growth phase. She’s passionate about building products with purpose and user experience and has joined us from Intercom.

We plan to add more new faces to our team in the coming months. So stay tuned for more news on that front.
