This weekend the ChangeX team is hitting the road and along with 40,000 others, we’re off to Electric Picnic! On Saturday afternoon, you’ll find us at MindField where people come “to listen, debate, watch, talk, argue and think”. We’ll host a one-hour slot exploring the role technology plays in empowering a movement for social good. We’ve invited wonderful guests from the ChangeX network to share their perspective on grassroots change and the increasingly important role that technology can play.

Technology provides new ways for all of us to contribute and collaborate in improving society but how do we ensure that we’re harnessing this power for the greatest impact? Against the backdrop of the current refugee crisis and its multiple online movements and reactions, we’ll explore the potential power as well as the limits of technology for good.

Moderated by economist, writer and broadcaster David McWilliams (to be confirmed), our panel will include:

We’ll keep you updated on Twitter about our schedule.

We would also highly recommend a visit to our friends from CoderDojo who will do a pop up Dojo, where you can learn some lines of code or how you could start a Dojo in your own community.
