Many local changemakers tell us their biggest challenge is raising money for their initiatives. Though money isn’t always necessary – we’ve recently learned how to run a community project without raising any money from CoderDojo’s Laura Ivers – just a small 200 or 500 Euro fund can often help local initiatives to kick things off.

At ChangeX we hope to provide more opportunities in the future for seed funding. Today we start with a pilot fund for changemakers based in County Wicklow. We’ve been awarded €5,000 by Wicklow County Council to help launch a number of social innovations across the County. This fund will be available in 10 €500 packages to local projects.

Anyone who is starting or developing one of the ideas on ChangeX in County Wicklow can apply.

What To Apply For

Whether you are a brand new starter of a Men’s Shed who needs some equipment, or you have a GIY group that would like to launch an urban gardening project and need to print some promotional material to build more awareness in your area, we would love to help bring your project to the next level.
